I'm going to be part of a group cycling 446km across Cambodia this November to raise money for the International Childcare Trust. As I only bought a bike earlier this year there's a lot of training and preparation involved in getting up to the standard required but I hope it'll be worth it. I'll be paying for flights, accommodation etc myself, so any donations will definitely be going to the charity and not just funding an exotic holiday for me.
As part of my preparations I've already completed the Edinburgh marathon and the Leeds xpress triathlon - and I'll be lining up for the Ulverston triathlon next week. There will be numerous other sporting efforts to get ready for November.
A bit more info about the challenge:
This amazing 446km cycle challenge takes place in Cambodia. To discover Cambodia by cycle, is to discover a country untouched by modernisation, A land of symmetry, symbolisation, and spirituality. Our cycle takes us from the temples of Angkor Wat, crossing Tonle Sap lake the life-blood of Cambodia, and from thence, south across the coastal plains and on to the Gulf of Thailand.

International Childcare Trust is a small charity which makes a big difference - to some of the poorest and hardest to reach children in Asia & Africa. Through local, grassroots partners they give children shelter, healthcare, education, training & hope for the future - our work is vital for children with no where else to turn.
ICT supports only sustainable projects which will create a lasting difference to disadvantaged children’s lives.
