| My personal message: |
Dressed as a big blue stress ball on 22 April I’m going to be running/jogging/walking/waddling/rolling all 26.2 miles of the London Marathon.
I will be running in aid of the mental health charity Mind; 1 in 4 people will experience some kind of mental health problem during their life time. Mind works to support patients and carers through a variety of diverse means such as the running of the Mind info phone line, publishing literature on mental health topics and running campaigns.
* £5 could help 15 people in need to receive practical advice though essential information booklets such as Understanding depression helping people to cope with their mental health issues.
* £9 could change a life. It helps a trained adviser to answer a call to the MindinfoLine, offering much-needed support to someone looking for information and understanding.
* £20 will help Mind raise awareness of the new legislation coming into effect and its impact on people who experience mental distress.
* £50 could help support life-changing projects and services offered to people in their community by Mind's local associations.
* £100 could go towards the staff and equipment needed to run Mind's Legal Advice line, offering special advice on key legal issues on aspects of mental health and related law.
* £200 keeps the MindinfoLine open for a whole day, ensuring Mind is there for people in mental distress when they really support.
Please give as much or as little as you feel you can give.
Thank you very much.
Helen
