Hello,

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page.

In November this year I am going to take on a massive challenge and cycle through Cambodia on a 446km bike ride to raise at least £3,500 for an amazing charity, International Childcare Trust (ICT) http://www.ict-uk.org/about_home.html. On a personal level this is made all the more difficult for me because, as of January this year, I was the only 26 year old I knew who couldn't ride a bike! Obviously I have quite a lot of work to do over the next few months - but it's worth it to support this brilliant charity.

ICT is a small charity that makes a big difference. It works in direct partnership with local organisations in Africa and Asia that protect children’s rights; such as their right to education, healthcare and to a happy childhood.

ICT currently works in Cambodia, Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Sri Lanka and India with key Southern partner NGOs who take an integrated approach to child development combining the delivery of practical assistance with capacity building and advocacy initiatives. Practical assistance includes supporting direct benefits to disadvantaged children, their families and communities, e.g. quality education, improved healthcare, income generation schemes, vocational training, rehabilitation and reintegration of children.

M'LOP TAPANG

M’Lop Tapang (the project that I am raising money for) is a Cambodian NGO working with the street children of Sihanoukville. The goal of this particular ICT project is to offer support, protection, positive choices and hope to street children and their families. ICT aims to reintegrate street children back to education, their families and their community, allowing them to lead happy and independent lives again.

I will be paying all the travel and trip costs myself, so any money that you choose to give will go straight to the charity. You can donate through Justgiving, it is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: International Childcare Trust gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

If you would like to know any more information on the trip or the organisation drop me a line!

Thank you so much

Helen xxx
