The Association of Muslim Governors has been working hard to increase the representation of Muslims in state schools, and in certain boroughs, we have doubled the number of Muslim Governors. Over 95% of Muslim children attend State Schools and school governors can serve as a voice for the Muslim community by highlighting issues which are particularly important and affect Muslim children directly, including the development of academic attainment and meeting the spiritual and cultural needs of Muslim children.
However, the work is only beginning and Muslim Governors are still
under-represented in many Governing bodies, and it is your duty to
get involved as these are our children.
In order to meet the increasing numbers of requests and undertake
the administrative roles we are trying to raise £10,000.
This would come under the heading of Sadaqa Jariya (continuous charity). The Prophet (SAW) said: “If a human dies, then his good deeds stop except for three: a Sadaqa Jariya, a beneficial knowledge, or a righteous child who prays for him.” (Narrated by Muslim)
Let us prepare for the next generation of righteous Muslims with the knowledge to survive in this world and the Akhirah, so please donate generously.
