Hello, well this is going to really suprise all of you who know me. I'm going to run 26.2 miles (with massive help from Mike my brother) in the New York marathon in November this year.......ok ok you can stop laughing now!!!

The reason why we are doing this is simple - Katie. 

Katie was diagnoised with Type 1 diabetes in February 2007,    3 weeks before her 10th birthday, she didn't eat too many sweets, she (& I) make sure she has always had a well balanced diet.

Quite simply the antibodies in her body turned againt her pancreas and shut it down and thats it. Katie now has to inject herself 4 times a day with insulin, every day for the rest of her life to keep her alive.

JDRF are trying to find a cure for ALL kids like Katie with type 1 diabetes and we feel that a good enough reason to help them. 

So please dig as deep as you can and help Mike and I raise the £3000.00.

Progress update - on Sunday 16th March Mike and I ran the 1/2 marathon in the Forest of Dean it took us 2hrs 15minutes. My longest run so far has been 15 miles! Who'd have thought it eh! Next race is on the 22nd June a 'hilly' 18 miler.
