I am (for my sins) taking part in a 10k run for Weston HospiceCare on 13th December 2009. Having only recently taken up running, this is going to be quite a challenge, but it would be great if you could sponsor me!
Weston Hospicecare provides free palliative care to people living in North Somerset and neighbouring parts of with life limiting illnesses. In 2009-2010 they anticipate caring for around 1,000 people, providing care and support to patients and their families at a time in their life when they need it most. Their annual running costs are around £2.7 million and the charity is heavily dependent on the support of the local community and on events such as the Christmas Cracker.It would be great if you could donate to a good cause in my local area.
