Flora London Marathon 2009 · 26 April 2009 ·

Cricket Without Boundaries is dedicated to helping, educating and developing local communities around the world through the spread and growth of cricket. Crucially, CWB also uses cricket as a tool in the fight against AIDS. CWB’s training sessions have at their heart discussion about the disease in terms of prevention, treatment and equality of treatment for those with and without the disease.

Story

Yes, I have made the insane move of attempting to run the Flora London Marathon again. After going sub-4 hours in 2007, I will be trying to better that feat in 2009.

This time I am running to support CRICKET WITHOUT BOUNDARIES who are an organisation who take projects to Kenya, Rwanda and Uganda to instruct local cricket coaches and offer a lasting sporting legacy in underprivileged zones.

More importantly, through these cricket projects, they aim to spread the AIDS awareness message which is so vital in Africa. I am planning to volunteer for one of the projects next year and would need £750 for that alone, but I hope to be able to raise a whole lot more for the cause - anything you can contribute would be warmly welcomed and appreciated.

Thanks, Tom
