Homes in Zimbabwe was established in 2004 to provide funds for the maintenance of Old People's Homes in Zimbabwe. The homes then were in serious need of help on account of the economic decline and high inflation that had completely eroded their financial reserves. Today we have had to divert almost all our resources to importing food and fuel to safeguard the very lives of the elderly of all races living in residential homes and many still living at home often alone.. With inflation now in excess of 200,000%, rendering any pension worthless, and virtually no food in the country, our donors are helping to save old people from death by slow starvation.
