Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.

I'm cycling the 140 mile Sustrans Coast to Coast route from Workington to Tynemouth together with colleagues from Sage on the weekend of the 6th & 7th June. 

I've stepped up my training for this event since the start of the year and I'm going to give it everything I've got.  You can follow my training progress at my Windows Live blog and additional rants and daily moans with fellow cyclists at Cycle Social.

You are fortunate if you don’t know anyone touched by cancer I am particularly mindful of, and inspired by 3 people: my best friend’s mother, Jean Coward, who was a formidable fundraiser for our local hospice and died very suddenly a few years ago, Connie and Flora, local friends of my 4 year old daughter who lost their mother to Cancer last year and my Grandma who has battled cancer twice in her life and turns 92 next month.  There is hope amongst the sad stories, let’s try to redress the balance of sad and happy stories
