Climbing Kilimanjaro is an extreme challenge, over an 8 day period. The team will walk from from lush rain forest to mountain moorland, through volcanic desert to the snow and ice encrusted volcanic crater and the summit of 5895 metres, where the air is thin and conditions are arctic. The teams ages ranges from 17 years to 70 with varying degrees of experience. This is a challenge not to be taken lightly and will take everyone to their mental and physical limits; having to cope with altitude and camping in extreme weather conditions. Stop press: Sharon will donate £1,000 if Foxy strips naked on the summit - photgraphic evidence must be supplied! All funds raised will support projects of The Oliver Foundation, please go to www.theoliverfoundation.com to learn about the community projects we are supporting in South Africa. Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor us: The Oliver Foundation will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
