For over 40 years Phyllis Tuckwell has been supporting and caring for patients and families who have been given the worst possible news in West Surrey & North East Hampshire. We rely on the support of our community as we have to raise over £25,000 every day to continue our amazing services.

Story

The HonkyKayak tour is an exciting adventure down the River Thames and the River Wey in order to raise funds for the Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice. In a 2 man kayak, Daniel and David will start the arduous journey in Goring in Oxfordshire and end in Godalming in Surrey.

This staggering river jaunt will mean Daniel and David will have to paddle 100 miles in 8 days! Sleeping under the stars, they will be vulnerable to the erratic weather conditions so commonly experienced during the English summer. However, there is another element that complicates this journey for our young adventurers... they must also fit guitars and a drum kit into their small, open and manpowered boat in order to entertain those they pass on the river banks.

As members of the legendary HongKong74 band, they will be keen to keep their honkytonk sounds filling the waterways as their charity buckets explode with pennies and hopefully pounds from those that they pass.
