Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.  WE DID IT.......in 10 hours and all the weather that could be thrown at us - sun, rain, hail, sleet, snow and a blizzard at the top!!!

Back in June 2009 I, (Tracy) decided to take on the Ben Nevis Challenge to raise money for the Behcets Syndrome Society.  Climbing Ben Nevis was one thing that I had always fancied doing and thought that if by doing it I could raise money to benefit others all the better!  But I wanted to share the experience!  When I went home and put forward the idea to the family my eldest son, Sam, said he would take on the challenge with me.  This doubled the amount of money we needed to raise but also doubles the benefit to the Society.

Behcets Syndrome is a rare but lifelong disorder which may affect all organs and the central nervous system, affecting many different areas of the body.  Meaning that patients have to see many specialists in different Hospitals in different areas of the country for treatment.

The Behcets Syndrome Society have a number of projects the most ambitious of which is to create 'Centres of Excellence' which enable patients to meet with all the specialists they need in one place!  I was inspired by this aim which would benefit all those affected by Behcets Syndrome and hope that any money that Sam and I raise can help the society achieve this aim.  We have a target of £600 but obviously anything above and beyond this amount will help the society reach their target quicker!
