My story

 

Last year the team, spurred on by Howards display of courage, walked the Ridgeway (87 miles) in 3 days. In doing so, they managed to raise in excess of £80,000 to sponsor a research graduate for Pancreatic Research. Sadly we lost Howard in August after a heroic fight. Even though he will not be there in person this year, the team wanted to take on the other walk that Howard had always wanted to complete – Hadrians Wall.

At 85 miles, it is normally attempted in 6 days – they are going for 3.5. This will equate to three consecutive, marathon days over very tough terrain. They'll start on 1st May.

Many are partaking in sections of the walk but only the gallant few are attempting the whole distance. The core team consists of:
