About the charity

The objectives of the Society are: 1) to advance the Hindu religion by the provision of facilities for the performance of religious ceremonies and rites relating to the Hindu faith and to promote and disseminate the articles of faith religion. 2) to promote for the benefit of the inhabitants and primarily the Hindu inhabitants of Coventry and the neighbourhood without distinction of sex or sexual orientation or race or of political or religious or other opinions by associating together the said inhabitants and the local authorities, voluntary and other organisations in a common effort to: a) advance the education of the said inhabitants; and b) provide facilities for recreation or other leisure-time occupation for the said inhabitants in the interest of social welfare with the object of improving their conditions of life. 3) to establish or secure the establishment of a Community Centre and to maintain and manage the same (whether alone or in co-operation with any local or other person or body) in furtherance of the above objectives.
