"EMOTIONAL END TO CHALLENGE" The Dallaglio Cycle Challenge ended in Edinburgh with a tremendous welcome from the Scottish Nation , friends and family. Invers set out as if the Tour de France was at stake and breezed into Murrayfield in the leading pack ( I suspect the 'sore knee' was a cunning plan)

Everyone who was involved in the Cycle Slam over the month, and all those who were touched by it, were better people for it. The pain and sacrifices made paled into insignificance as the power of trying to contribute and give made us realise what is really important in life. Go to www.Dallagliocycleslam.com or the BBC/sportsrelief for Blogs, films, updates and photographs for more details or just Google stuff.

A huge effort has been put in by Lawrence and his support team - they continued to be so enthusiastic, cheerfully working incredibly long hours. It really was a marvellous achievment both on and off the bike - Not only have Lawrence and his core team spent long days in the saddle but also long nights refueling and ensuring that the "new" teams are having a great time and remain focused and properly 'rehydrated'!

This will be the biggest single rugby charity fund raiser which is proving marvellous for the sport's image to the general public who still often perceive rugby as a pretty insular mate's club.

If you feel able to contribute please do so as the Foundation and Charities are 'open' all year. This page will be open for a few more weeks.

We do understand that people do their own thing in giving up their own time or donating to other causes, but if these Charities’ and the Foundation’s aim makes you want to contribute please do so. Every contribution, however big or small helps us to raise much needed funds for the charities and all are equally important and truly appreciated

The charities we are raising funds for are always in need of new monies for treatment, care and research -

Debra,( supports children whose skin falls off if touched), Rugby Players Association Benevolent Fund, Cancer Research, Leukemia and Sports Relief.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send you unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer.

It is the most efficient way to donate. It saves time, cuts costs, and stops “unsolicited approaches “over lunch or after 4 glasses of red- it allows you to decide on contributing without pressure! ( although that method has worked well!)

It has been a privilege to be involved in such a challenge- but, it is so important for you to know that your contribution is the thing that will make a direct difference.

Thank you so much. If you would like further information please leave us a message, or visit the www.dallagliocycleslam.com web site.
