On the 1st November, I will be attempting to finish the New York Marathon  to raise funds for my favourite charity, Children of the Andes.

Children of the Andes is a UK-registered charity that provides support to Colombia's most vulnerable children by working in partnership with local NGOs. If you would like to find out more about Children of the Andes, please look at their webste: www.childrenoftheandes.org

No contribution is too small (or too big) and it is very easy to make a donation online. It only takes a few minutes, payments are secure and are sent directly to Children of the Andes. (Also, if you are a UK taxpayer, there is an extra 28% tax bonus courtesy of the exchequer). Don't be shy; it will make a difference to a child's life.

 

            £5        could pay for a child’s nutritional checks and food supplements for a month.

£15      could pay for a year’s educational subsidies for 3 children who could not otherwise afford to go to school.

£20      could pay for a day of round-the-clock health assistant care for 50 children affected by HIV.

£50      could provide emotional and practical support to a vulnerable young ex-gang member, helping them to move  away from violence and rebuild relationships with their family and the wider community
