Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. I need your help.
You may have noticed me jogging around the village and practise area or playing at the golf club fairly smartly around the course, I recently completed 36 holes in under 3 hours and kept score off the white tees…77 and 69. You learn quite a lot playing at that speed, although you don’t have much time to reflect on it during the process.
Why bother? Well on August 15 this year I am attempting to complete 100 holes in a day at Lochwinnoch Golf Club in aid of Teenage Cancer Trust. In my community I know of local people who have had to deal with the trauma this disease brings and I knew that one day I would like to do something to help. I am convinced that local and national press and possibly even radio stations will pick up on the event to raise awareness of both Lochwinnoch Golf Club and TCT which will all add to the money you and I can raise.
Please do not feel obliged to sponsor, if its not right for you just have a go at the free competition and if it is right for you have a go at the free competition also.
It only hit me recently that I have literally taken on a marathon challenge and like all good athletes I have managed some hamstring injuries and a calf injury jogging across a road with a speeding car coming at me, not recommended trying to hobble quickly out of the way in pain. Someone said to me I am not 20 anymore…I believe them now.
If you see me racing around the course, wave me through and don’t think I am being rude if I don’t ask you to join me.
