My story

Hello and welcome to the Marie Curie Cancer Care Hyde Park Field of Hope.

This is going to be the largest ever Field of Hope planted in London. The 60,000 bulbs will be planted this year and will bloom in Spring 2008 to help us celebrate 60 years of Marie Curie Cancer care.

Here you can sponsor a bulb in the Hyde Park Field of Hope. You can sponsor a bulb in memory of a loved one or in celebration of someone's life.

If you make a donation feel free to leave a message for us about who and why you are sponsoring a bulb.

The planting of all of the daffodil bulbs will happen on November 6th this year. You are more than welcome to come along and help us to plant. Further details will be emailed to you when you sponsor a bulb.

All the money raised will come straight to Marie Curie as the bulbs have been generously donated by Naylor Flowers. The money will help make a real difference to the lives of people with terminal cancer. It will enable us to pay for more Marie Curie Nurses to care for these people within their own homes and give them the care and support that they deserve at the end of their lives. Our nurses offer both practical and emotional care and support to the patient and their family.

This service is completely free to anyone who needs it but it costs Marie Curie Cancer care £20 an hour to provide.

You can sponsor any amount you like for a bulb, it will all help to make a difference.

Thank you so much for supporting the biggest Field of Hope in London and we would love to see you come along on the day.

If you would like any further information please email jane.shufflebotham@mariecurie.org.uk

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Marie Curie Cancer Care will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

Many thanks for your support.

In loving memory of my dear mother Winifred Squier who passed away in December 2007. Many thanks to Marie Curie nurses who cared for her to the end Donation by Carole 30/03/08
