My story
A very good friend of mine, Oliver Padfield, has a number of secondary cancers in his chest resulting from a colon cancer, which was removed in March 2005.
Unfortunately, the latest drugs available to him on the NHS could not hold the disease. One of the new generation of anti-cancer drugs ‘Evastin’, in combination with different chemotherapy drugs, offers Oliver his best chance of stabilizing and beating the disease.
The drugs are only available privately which is why we are desperately trying to raise funds for his treatment. The mums at his childrens' nursery school have organised a 10km run on Sunday 27th of November to raise cash.
I have agreed to run.
So there's 2 reasons to give money. 1, to help Oliver get better. 2, because I need some serious motivation. As you probably know getting up early in the morning and running is not really my scene...
Please help me to raise some money, my running's going to be an embarrassment, don't let my sponsorship total end up the same!
Many thanks for your support. Oliver, his wife, children and friends will all be extremely grateful.
p.s.
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Eloise And Katie Memorial Trust will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
