I am running the Preston Marathon on Sunday 28th October 2012. I have never ran a marathon before - or even a half marathon - so this will be quite a challenge! I am aiming to complete the course in under 4 hours.

I have chosen to support the Baby Beat appeal. This charity is based in the Sharoe Green Maternity Ward at the Royal Preston Hospital. My daughter - Chloe Hannah Blundell - was born there on 12th April 2012 and I have seen the great work they do. Luckily Chloe (and Mummy) were healthy and we were discharged 2 days later. However, the Baby Beat appeal is on hand to offer support and assistance to those babies and families who have a more difficult time.
