My story

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. Please dig deep and sponsor me online.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Help for Heroes will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

So please sponsor me now!

The Big Battlefield Bike Ride (BBBR) is to raise money for  a new swimming pool and to refurbish the gym at the tri service rehabiliation complex for service men and woman at RAF Headley Court. Not only does such a facilty benefit service people injured overseas it also caters for those injured whilst carrying out their role in the UK.

The BBBR is a 350 plus bike ride starting from HMS Victory in portsmouth on the 26th May 2008, going across the channel to Caen to Northern France. The Route traces some of the regions most significant WW1 & WW2 battle sites including the Normandy Landing beaches and the Theipval on the Somme. The challenge is finished by cycling through central London to the Cenotaph.

Thank you to Mike & Martin at NCP Manchester, if it wasn't for you I wouldn't have achieved my target so quick, thank you.

Thank you to all those sponsoring me online and all those from BZN, Mum & Dad and everyone in York, and other locations. A big thank you to Mrs Babs Lobley & RAF Brize Norton Supply Squadron Charities Committee, Land & Marine Engineering, Aramark, Hook Norton Brewery, Brize Norton Self Serve (Carterton), Rumblin Tums Cafe (Eynsham), Philserve (Carterton), Barry the Butcher (Carterton) and a special mention to all the people at Giles Bikes (Carterton), thank you.
