Story

Me, cycle nearly 400 kilometres across Cuba? From Santa Clara, up to the remote and rugged Lake Hanabanilla, high in the Escambray Mountains, then to Cienfuegos and onto the Bay of Pigs? It’ll be hot in Cuba and I can guarantee that I will suffer fatigue, sunburn and pain while negotiating the hurricane torn roads.

No I can’t believe I’m doing it either!

It’s all about trying to raise some money to support the Music fund for Cuba (established by Kirsty MacColl) which raises funds for essential equipment for projects and schools such as Abel Santamaria for visually impaired kids in Havana.

It’s a fantastic cause and I’ll probably kill myself trying to do it. So its got to be worth a few quid?

The United Nations General Assembly has condemned the US blockade of Cuba as a violation of international law every year since 1992 – yet it still continues.
