Story
As a former member of the Armed Forces I am organising and taking part in what I think is a fitting challenge to raise funds for The Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal, Supporting Armed Forces Day along with it being 100 years from the First World War.
The Challenge involves Cycling 90 Miles from Newport Shropshire to Pen Y Pass Café then followed by Walk/Jog up Snowdon and finishing with a return 90 Mile Cycle to Newport Shropshire.
Being an active member of Nova Raiders Cycling Club, who as a club since being formed 5 years ago have supported Local and National charities to the sum of nearly £40,000.
Thank you for supporting this most worthwhile charity and it would be great to see as many people as possible out supporting the event on route.
The following participants are taking part in the above challenge -
Dorian Tranter, Ian Roberts, Geoff Machen, Brett Green, Robert Alderson, Glyn Grice, Ian Kevan, Pete Golding, Paul Grubert, Simon Broad, Nick Allcock, Dave Allcock, Gary Wade, Paul Jackman, Sam Westwood, Mark Harrison, Scott Harris, Steve Urbiki, Lee Corbett, Robyn Guy, John Taylor and 5 personnel from 22 Sigs Regt MOD Stafford - Capt Simon Nicholson, WO1 ASM Bill Sykes, S Sgt Pat Mcgeever, Sgt Steve Knightingale, Cpl Andy Beddows, and our only lady Rider Lt Col Woo Allen.
