In November 2007 Ellie Roberts passed away. She was just 6 weeks old. She was a first child, first neice & first grand-daughter. Slowly, and with the help of FSID the family are managing to come to terms with the tragedy.
Not only does FSID reseach into the causes and prevention of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) it offers free councelling to the families, putting them in touch with people in their area with a similar experience ie a young mum with a young mum, a granny with a granny. I know it's only a mile, but the Mile in Memory walk taking place in Liverpool next week is a national event aiming to promote awareness of the cause, to raise money for it, and for the families to find others like them.
Im not asking for a lot, just whatever you can give. Imagine how you would feel if it was YOUR baby or YOUR first grand-child, then think again about how YOUR small donation could help thousands more like Ellie's family.
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Foundation for the Study of Infant Deaths will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
