Story
Hey there all, as most of you know on Sunday 13th April 08 yours truly will be running the 26.2 miles of our great London Marathon. Now, I know I have bored you all senseless with my training stories & the sacrifices I have made in the pursuit of marathon glory, from early morning runs on Saturday’s to alcohol free months rather than days!! but I am told it will all be worth it when the big day arrives.
My inspiration for taking on this challenge is my late father John Stuart Cobb, who lost his battle with Lung Cancer in Dec 2004, within 3 months of his diagnosis. I am running on behalf of the Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation, the only charity specializing in Lung Cancer research & care.
I have done the hard work over the last few months ‘putting in the miles’ & I would like you to help me achieve my target by sponsoring me as much as you can for this wonderful charity so they can continue to support those that are affected by this deadly disease.
Many thanks Mark
