About Interact Worldwide
Interact Worldwide is a development charity, working with partner organisations in some of the poorest countries, particularly in the rural areas of the developing world, bringing high quality reproductive healthcare to women, men, and young people.
The charity supports the UN Human Right for individuals to be able to choose the number, timing and spacing of their children as agreed at ICPD (International Conference For Population and Development). It has been established for more than 25 years and in that time has been able to work overseas with many partner organisations in more than 42 countries.
Interact Worldwide's philosophy has been to facilitate the work of partners in countries by strengthening their infrastructure to assist their management capacity. It also trains their staff in the skills and knowledge needed to run and sustain the projects into the future.
Through this streamlined, sustainable approach, the charity has reached millions of people throughout the developing world. Its long-term projects are also aimed to raising the status of women, protecting the health of adolescents and encouraging responsible behaviour in order to combat HIV and AIDS.
In the UK, Interact Worldwide aims to improve understanding, amongst the public, of how these choices, rights and responsibility can contribute to an improved quality of life worldwide.
