Story
Following a brain haemorrhage in April 2006, Rhian (pictured centre of photo), attended Momentum Scotland's Pathway Programme in Aberdeen. This programme helps adults with brain injuries to achieve their goal and return to work, education or integration within society. Rhian's goal has always been to return to her studies at Robert Gordon University and the Pathway Programme was able to help her achieve this by offering classes on cognitive skills, communication, reading and interpretation and IT. While there she also had classes to help her understand how her brain works, to rebuild confidence and offer guidance for the future. Without Momentum there was nowhere else for Rhian to go. Rhian has returned to Robert Gordon University and is working hard to complete her first year of a BA(Hons) in Fashion Management. It has been a very hard year of intensive study for her, but she is determined to get her degree.
Words cannot express our feelings of gratitude to everyone who has helped Rhian (and ourselves as a family) over the past three years and I would like to show a little of my appreciation of 'Momentum' by taking part in this fun run. All money raised from this run will be used by Momentum to continue to provide safe and effective projects to people with disabilities and who are excluded from society both locally and across Scotland.
A big thank you to all who supported our Top Hats & Tiaras Grand Ball last year. It was an amazinge event.
If you would like to support Momentum again - please consider sponsoring me on this BIG Fun Run, or consider signing up and walking with me.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Momentum Scotland gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.
