The Isis Cyclists are doing a 13-mile cycle ride around Oxford on Saturday 13 June to raise money for, and celebrate the work of, the Jane Ashley Unit at the Oxford Radcliffe Hospital, a centre and charitable cause which does excellent work supporting women with breast and gynaecological cancers (see www.oxfordradcliffe.nhs.uk/cancer/services/women for more information).

Thirteen miles may not sound very far when compared with the epic achievements of some fundraisers, but the Isis Cyclists are all about encouraging women who are not used to cycling long distances to get out on their bikes for gentle fitness, friendliness, and confidence on the roads (read more at http://isiscyclistsctc.wordpress.com).

Thirteen miles is significantly further than many of our cyclists would ever have thought they could ride: for many it will therefore represent a significant challenge, and for others the fact we hope to be wearing lots of striking pink outfits -- so that we can raise more funds along the way -- may be a different sort of challenge!

Please support us! It's a worthy cause and we would really love to reach our target. Thank you!
