Thank you to everyone for your support in helping us to reach our £10,000 target for the Donna Louise in Memory of Izabella, Izzy would have been two now but lives on through her brother. Her life was only very short but so many things Harry does i can see is Izzy.
Happy birthday to our princess mummy, daddy and harry miss you very much and although times moves on you will never be forgot and always in our hearts.
Our Story
On 13th May 2008 our long and stressful journey of fertility was finally over and our dream of becoming parents was finally here. The birth of our twins wasnt straight forward, but after an emergency section, a blood tranfusion and 5 weeks in hospital our dreams were turned into reality and we were finally home with our perfect twins Harrison and Izabella.
Life was truely amazing and we were so proud of our longed for family, but, 6 short months later our beautiful daughter Izabella sadly died of Pnemacoccal Meningitous.
Life will never be the same, but the dedication of all the staff at the Donna Louise as helped make unbearable times bearable. We can not thank you enough personally for getting us through these very dark days, and helping us take each day at a time.
Not only does the Trust help parents like oursleves who have lost children in tragic circumstatances, they also offer respite for children with life treatening conditons in the hospice and in their own homes.
You will never really know what invaluable serrvice the trust offers until you need this help and support yourself, but without your donations this service would not be available, and would not help families like ours rebuild their life after the loss of the most precious thing in the world...
It costs £4,000 a day to run the hospice, £81 a day pays for a nurse, and £2,814 pays for 1 child to stay a week. Please therefore, help raise funds to provide end of life care for children with life limiting conditions who are not expected to live beyond their teenage years, as well as support for families once their child is gone.
The Bond between a parent and a child is unbreakable our beautiful baby girl will be with us for ever in our hearts and will live on through her twin brother Harrison.
