Thanks for Visiting our Just Giving Page!

We are Jack Denness (School Caretaker) and Karen Dockwray (CPC Kent Fundraising Coordinator) from Rochester and we are raising much needed funds for CPC (Cerebral Palsy Care).  To raise these funds we will be running/walking/crawling across the Egyptian Sahara Desert in hostile terrain and blistering heat in a race over seven days, six stages (one stage is over 50 miles which will take us through the night!).  We will cover 160 miles in total.

In this race competitors have to carry their own supplies (water, food, clothes, sleeping bag etc) in back packs which has to last them the entire race.  We will be sleeping in tents in the desert every night and the only assistance we will receive is water top ups and medical help at check points.  Each competitor must follow the correct route over desert terrain with the highest sand dunes (400ft) in the Sahara Desert.  The race is located in the Western Desert of Egypt and will finish at the Pyramids of Giza.

We will be competing against over 150 international runners/walkers in this arduous and gruelling race.

To find out more about this race or to follow our progress in October, please visit....

All monies raised on this "mad" adventure will go directly to the charity CPC (Kent) - They really need your support to continue their fantastic work so PLEASE SPONSOR US!

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

Big Thank You!

Jack and Karen xx
