Thank you for visiting to find out more about the Jack Fruit Project.
The Jack Fruit Project is based in Kannganda, a village just outside of Kampala, Uganda. The project aims to bring transformation to the people living here - who previously had little access to safe drinking water, healthcare facilities, or education for their children.
Thanks to generous support we have already helped to change daily life for many families by:
- bringing clean and safe water to the village, helping to eliminate related sicknesses and dehydration
- building the first toilet block for the village to improve sanitation
- building a church and community centre, which also houses children's activities
- building a home for a pastoral support worker who can ensure that the villagers' voices are heard as we plan for the next stages of the project as well as providing help and assistance whenever needed...
Thank you for your help so far - BUT THERE IS STILL SO MUCH TO DO!
In partnership with the local church and the villagers we would like to be able to make more changes....
- we could build a clinic with much needed healthcare and maternity facilities...
- we could bring electricity to the village
- we could extend existing buildings to provide more community buildings
- we could look at building a school for the children...
We need your help - please do consider supporting this amazing project which is bringing hope to a vulnerable community and enabling them to fulfil long-held dreams....
