In March/April of 2008 I will be running  the 23 rd Marathon des Sables in Morocco.  I have funded this race myself , with two distinct aims in mind. Firstly to finish and secondly to raise as much money as I can for Wooden Spoon ,  a charity that donates funds to help disadvantaged children in the United Kingdom, which I feel  very proud to represent. I will be running a distance of  150 miles over six days , carrying a backpack containing food,water, sleeping gear and essential kit , along with around 700 other competitors from around the world.My training schedule is going according to plan covering 50 to 70miles per week and I am also doing  classes with British Military Fitness to build strength and stamina for the race.
