Thanks for visiting my fundraising page - (Mange tak for dit besøg til min velgørenhedsside) This year I have decided to take on one of the bigger challenges in my life - a 400km charity bicycle ride through Tanzania from 2 - 11 October, in co-operation with International Childcare Trust (ICT). ICT is a small UK charity which works in direct partnership with local organizations in Africa and Asia to protect children's rights; Such as their right to education and to a healthy, happy childhood. This year ICT are focusing on the plight of the children in Tanzania, in particular those living with HIV/AIDS and suffering the effects of poverty.
I would like to ask for your support in order for me to be able to meet this fund raising target. Every contribution you make really makes a difference and below figures give you a feeling of how much:
- £5 will pay for tetanus vaccinations for 20 kids
- £15 will provide 2 street children with healthcare for one month
- £20 will cover the cost of school uniform and annual school fee for 1 child for a year
- £100 will offer care and support to a child worker/orphan and their family for two months.
Many thanks for your support - it is much appreciated!!
All the best,
Jacob
Update:
Dear All,
First of all a big thanks to all the people who has contributed to this project!
With the “matching principle” from my company, I have now reached my target of minimum £3,000 which was required to participate. This is of course a milestone I am very pleased to have achieved.
I would still encourage and be very thankful for any additional support to this initiative, as the more funds being raised the more money will go to the children in Tanzania.
Many thanks,
Jacob.
