Thanks for visiting my fundraising page...even if it's just to laugh at the latest crazy adventure I seem to have got roped into!!

I'll be setting out on 13th September to climb the 4,810 metres (15,781ft) of Mont Blanc. The expedition will take 6 days and I even have the pleasure of overnighting on the actual mountain! I've been assured that the guide we've hired does know what he is doing so as long as I can convince my mate Warwick to listen to him I'm sure we'll be fine....apparently the fatality rate is somewhat lower than the 27% of those who summit K2...which is nice!

I've decided to raise money for the International Rescue Corps - a specialist search and rescue charity which sends small teams out to disaster zones in the immediate aftermath of events such as earthquakes or tsunami to try and save people trapped in the rubble. I've been a member of the charity for the past three years and hope to start training next year to go operational.
