Who Cares? Scotland is Scotland's leading national independent advocacy organisation working with children and young people (up to age 25) in care in Scotland. We provide a wide range of services to young people including advocacy, advice, information and support. We also consult and listen to young people, campaign for positive change, help policy makers hear the views of young people, bring young people together and include them in the governance of the organisation. By selecting Who Cares? Scotland you are helping us to continue to make a positive change to the lives of Scotland's young people who are or have been looked after and accommodated away from home. 'It's hard to speak out on your own but by working together we will have a stronger voice'.

My story

Hi, Thanks for visiting our fundraising page.

For those of you who don't know us, we are James and Paul and are from a Children’s Unit in Aberdeenshire. In November 09, we are aiming to join a group of young people who live in care, who will be attempting to undertake the challenge of a lifetime and trek in the mountains of Nepal.

The purpose of the trek is 3 fold-

1 Nepal is the 12th poorest country in the world. Money raised will go towards improving the life of the people there. (www.canepal.org.uk)

2 To help to “Who Cares Scotland” to continue the work it does with young people in care.

3 To give young people who have experienced life in care a life changing experience

We are presently planning numerous fundraising events to help us reach our target. The first of which will be our taking part in the Garioch 10K road race at the end of March, which we hope lots of people will sponsor us.

You can also look forward to us packing your bags in local supermarkets.

Please help us achieve our dream and dig as deep as you can.
