The Hospice helps people to live their precious lives well. Our care has many forms – at home, in our outpatient Spring Centre or through specialised care in one of our Hospice beds - and is defined by each person's need. We rely on donations to raise the £6m we need each year to fund our free care.

Practice tonight with Vicki!

Dear Family & Friends,

With the new year nearly upon us I've been asked to take part in Strictly Learn Dancing over in Berkhamstead. Partnering with Vicki Roberts (http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=786098823) in aid of The Hospice of St. Francis.

The Hospice of St. Francis provides care for patients with serious or terminal illness. Many patients have cancer but they also look after patients with heart disease, lung disease, kidney disease and neurological disease.

Sadly this year our family and friends have lost some very important people: Laura Jarvis, Con Conroy, Hamada Moursi and Colin Donald who, sadly, passed away from illnesses all of which The Hospice of St. Francis treat. They are/were so close to our hearts and still give their respective friends and families fond memories. I have been given a wonderful opportunity to learn how to dance Ballroom through professional lessons while also tasked to raise awareness and money for such a fantastic cause and charity. I would like to dedicate this challenge and the winning of this competition to our friends, families of our loved ones and of course the ones we miss.

Vicki and I will be having lessons every Sunday from Jan 15 up until the final Saturday 25 Feb which is being held at Centenary Hall Kings Road Berkhamsted HP4 3BG.

If you are interested in seeing me and Vicki gracefully prance around the hall to win the competition then please let me know as there are 10 tickets available at a cost of £15 each its a bargain (to see me in spandex and satin, that is if I raise enough money). As it's name suggests it will be very much like Strictly Come dancing dresses, DJs, spandex and satin etc.

Look forward to seeing you there...

Being able to give is one of our greatest gifts so this year lets all give back and make sure that other people suffering from these illnesses have the greatest chance to fight them and to be with their families.

So please dig deep and donate what you can.

http://www.justgiving.com/jamesapps

Kind regards
James

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate what you can.
