Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page and to sponsor us!!

In January 2009 James Atkinson and Rob Gauntlett were killed in a climbing accident in the Alps. James and Rob were best friends from school and keen outdoor enthusiasts. They were both committed to helping others achieve their potential. Money raised in James' memory will go to "The James Atkinson Bequest" . This will be used to support pupils at Christ's Hospital to participate in outdoor activities such as climbing and cycling, which both James and Rob were actively involved in during their time at CH. Please note that donations made through this JustGiving page will only go to the "The James Atkinson Bequest".

A number of people are raising sponsorship for the James Atkinson Bequest:

1) Sam Priestley is climbing Mera Peak this autumn;

2) Lucy Morgan is running the Amsterdam marathon;

3) In Summer 2009 a large group of family, friends and other supporters cycled all or part of the 1000 miles from John O'Groats to Lands End. You can find out more and see the photos/blog on the website www.onemilecloser.com
