My personal message:

I know, I know another charity request...... I wanted to at least repay you with a witty and unique message when you got here.  Unfortunately that is way beyond my talents.

Instead I thought I'd tell you why I'm raising money for WaterAid when I'm running the Great North Run.  When I was rowing across the Atlantic our watermaker broke down and we were left with 4 litres of water to last the two of us three days.  Previously we'd been living on 12 litres a day each.  To be without something that I have taken for granted all my life was shocking, what is even more shocking is that people are facing a lack of water every day of their lives across Africa and Asia.  £15 can provide one person with a lasting supply of safe clean water.

Any donation will make a huge difference, if you want to make it a bonus related one then I'll try to cope with the challenge.  I'm trying to avoid getting beaten by anybody in fance dress and beat my best time which is 1hr 22min and look a little less tired than in this picture.

Thank you so much.

james
