My sister, Alexandra, was diagnosed with Hydrocephalus nine years ago and, thanks to excellent medical treatment, lives a completely normal life. Along the way she has benefited from advice given by ASBAH, especially in the early days and, more recently, when the shunt blocked on the first day of her AS exams!
ASBAH not only helps people to manage the condition but also raises money to fund research into Hydrocephalus and also Spina Bifida. By taking part in The Great North Run, I would like to think that I am helping Alexandra and so many others.
