Albert Bartlett Edinburgh Marathon 2009 · 31 May 2009 ·

"Forces Children's Trust assists any dependent children who are in need, whose father or mother has died or has sustained life-changing injuries whilst serving as a member of the British Armed Forces and such other occupations as determined from time to time by the Trustees."

Story

Well, after 32 years on the planet, I have finally got around to attempting that illusive Marathon and will be heading up to Edinburgh next weekend to plod my way up and down the Firth of Forth

I've decided to do it in aid of the Forces Childrens Trust.  Whilst not as well known as other worthwhile charities such as 'Help for Heroes' it is an incredibly worthwhile trust which looks after the kids of those that have died while in the Armed Forces.  Whilst it is terrible that people are perishing in theatre, imagine how absolutely aweful it would be as a child to lose a parent in such circumstances. Those children deserve as much help from the nation as we can give them. Please help.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Forces Children's Trust gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

So please sponsor me now!
