Hi everyone, thank you for taking the time to visit my fundraising page.

For any of you that live in London or a large town/city and see homeless people on the streets every day of your life I am sure that you wonder how they got into their situation, how quickly their life spiralled out of control and how you can help.  Also if you are a cynic (like me) then you may be too concerned to directly reach out and assist - either with money or kind words.  For years I have not passed on money directly to homeless people or beggars as I am concerned that it will immediately be spent on drugs or drink.....very rock and roll when you have a mansion, not so great if you live under a bridge at Waterloo station.

So this ride is about trying to raise money for Shelter to assist people in this unfortunate situation & hopefully help them find a bed for the night, or even better start to clean up their lives.

I am assisted on this adventure by housemates (past & present):
- the fun loving, legal beagle, club bopping legend Luke
- the excessively long legged, cycle & bike mad, rarely working Chris

Our route is loose for several reasons but predominantly lack of planning, being overworked (thats Luke and I if any of you know Chris) & because we are men (or some may challenge boys).  Anyway roughly the route is:

Barnes (the most urban & street of Londons boroughs)
Newhaven (Tues 19 Aug: night 1)
Dieppe (Wed morning)
Gournay en Bray (Wed 20 Aug: night 2)
Paris (gay Pareeee for sure as we will end up in Le Marais)

Any level of sponsorship is much appreciated - bear in mind its not for me but for people you surely pass every day and probably do you best to ignore.
