The Enham 2008 Kiliminjaro Challenge · 9 October 2007

Enham has a proud past and an even brighter future. Enham strives to support disabled people in making real choices in life through the provision of services that will extend access and opportunity for learning, living and worthwhile employment. It gives support wherever needed to enable life to be lived to the full.

Story

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. I am really privileged to have been chosen to be part of the team of a team of nine disabled and nine non-disabled adults climbing Mount Kilimanjaro over a 12 day period in July 2008. I am buddied with Val Bradshaw and we will make the climb together as a team.

It’s going to be hard work, but amazing as I undertake the biggest physical challenge of my life to reach the summit, but with my determination and the support of a fantastic group of people I can’t wait to start

Why Kilimanjaro? Kilimanjaro is the highest freestanding mountain in the world.

Who is leading the expedition? Steven Ballantyne, Explorer and Expedition leader will personally lead the expedition on behalf of Enham and we will be supported by guide staff from Alpine Ascents, a highly recommended and experienced trekking company.

Where is the money going?  Disability Charity Enham (www.enham.org.uk) needs £1.2 million for purpose built accommodation so that they can offer training to even more disabled clients and I want to help them to achieve this.

How do you help? By donating through this site.  It’s simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Enham will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.  In fact that money comes from the Government and that doesn’t happen every day!

So please sponsor me now.  Thank you so much
