Zoe’s Place Moonlight Walk in collaboration with Woodlands Hospice
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. I have entered a 10-mile walk, which starts at midnight 19th May in aid of the Zoe's Place Baby Hospice; & Woodland Hospice the money that I raise will be divided equally between both trusts.
The Woodlands Hospice Appeal is a capital appeal to raise £2 million to build a new unit with sixteen beds connected to the existing day hospice The hospice is in need of a new building to help terminally ill people living with life-threatening illness and support their families The Woodlands Hospice gave so much support to my husband Roy during his illness before he sadly passed away last year after battling cancer for 18 months at the age of 54 ,the hospice continues to give their support to me with my bereavement.
Zöe's Baby Hospice was a new project, it was unique, the first in the country specifically for babies with multiple special needs. Zöe in Greek means Gift of Life, an appropriate name for the non-denominational and multi-cultural Hospice, all babies go to Zöe's to live 'life' to the full. The babies that go to Zöe place have varying conditions, Multiple Special Needs. They are all very special, bringing with them joy, laughter, love, they are all individual's all little human beings. Each baby brings with them a new learning process and most importantly the gifts of humility, pride and admiration.
