The South West Thames Kidney Fund was formed in 1989 in response to the need for support for research. All monies raised by the Fund go directly to support research into the causes of, and preventions for, chronic renal disease at the S W Thames Institute for Renal Research. My story

Thanks for visiting our fundraising page.

We never thought we'd be doing this! But here we are with our trainers on and ready to run. Janice has overcome her treadmill phobia to jog at the gym whilst listening to 'Don't Stop Me Now' on her ipod; Amy has been spotted sprinting for buses and trains, and Ellie (complete with croissant) has been paddling a lilo round a pool in Lyon in preparation for the 5k. We think we're ready...

And we were! We completed the run in 42mins! Amy and Ellie encouraged me on though they most certainly would have gone faster on their own. Thanks to everyone who has supported and encouraged us - and thanks especially to Chris, without his kidney I would never have run at all.
