So why the London marathon?

It seemed like a good idea at the time ... and it's something I've been thinking about doing for a little while now. Finishing is the main goal, however it would also be dandy to not be overtaken by someone in a chicken suit ...

But it's not just for me actually. I'll be running for a charity called Concern who I have supported for some time now. They do good work in the poorest areas of the world helping people who probably can't even comprehend running for fun because they are simply trying to survive. So a little bit of my pain for their gain is more than reasonable.

And this is the reason for attempting to raise £3000 through this justgiving page. All the money will go directly to Concern so they can continue their good work. So please give generously!
