In celebration of the life and travels of my daughter Jasmin Leila, I am asking people to sponsor my walk from the Royal Geographical Society (with the Institute of British Geographers) in Kensington, London (see www.rgs.org) to the coast of Norfolk - in part via this trackway: http://www.nationaltrail.co.uk/PeddarsWay/
All monies raised will go to the Jasmin Leila Award, which funds critical geographical scholarship:
Armed only with some good shoes, a few maps and a set of texts on psychogeography, I will walk much of the route from the RGS to the coast (though a train will get me on the way out of London) in the late August and early September days after the 2008 RGS-IBG Annual Conference. 
The walk will begin from Lowther Lodge (see http://www.rgs.org/NR/rdonlyres/6727EBCF-2896-4D6E-A668-743EFA7796DC/0/HistoryofLowtherLodge.pdf), the home of the Royal Geographical Society (RGS-IBG) on the evening of Friday 29 August. For the first stage (a walk to Kings Cross Station), I will be joined by Jasmin's big sister, Naushine S. Mohammad. 
Logistical support (that is spare clothes, a decent umbrella/parasol and being picked up at the end) will come from Jasmin's grandfather (always known to her as 'Abuelo', since Spanish was the first language that Jasmin spoke), J.
