The stats suggest that 1 in 4 people will struggle with their mental health each year. I strongly believe that every person will be affected at some point in their lives.
I have struggled with various mental health challenges since my teens, mostly depression, stress and anxiety. I have been lucky enough to not be affected as severely as other people I know, but it has still had a profound impact on my day-to-day life.
I have found a variety of strategies for managing my mental health, some more effective for me than others. For me, physical activity has been an absolute game-changer which is why I love the idea of this fundraiser! The link between physical activity and improved mental health is astounding, and with this campaign we can raise money at the same time as inspiring people to become more active.
