Jeff (dad) & Jim (son) here, we are great mate’s and we share an ever growing passion for the world of motorcycles. Over many years we have experienced and travelled around parts of Australia enjoying racing and riding motorcycles,meeting many weird and wonderful people and visiting amazing places along the way. We have found 1 defining thing about motorcycle riders, that’s a "Passion" for riding, the body language when a rider tells a story of a great trip or a race they have won or could have won if the other bloke just got out of the way. The time they broke down in pouring rain or ice cold winter or broken a body part for that matter, always the story is driven by a desire to experience more on 2 wheels doesn’t matter who you meet or how old they are, its "Passion for riding" . Even people who don’t ride, when you see them listening in on these adventures,seemingly with some fear, understand as they often comment "you guys are mad" but reckon its great anyway as they go off shaking their head.
We have this Passion and can spend the whole day talking about bikes and riding, now we have a new adventure and an opportunity to build on a new story to tell about an amazing ride in Africa for Health. A story where we can combine our passion for riding and our family value and belief of contribution to others. We came across this amazing Charity called Riders for Health started and supported by riders from all over the world with a passion to make a difference to people in remote Africa, where the simple machine of a dirt bike which many of us take for granted, is a vital link to life and support they desperately need. You read this today because we have taken up the challenge to raise much needed funds and travel to Zambia in November 2011 where we will contribute and see first hand how we can help make a difference.
We ask you to be a part of this journey, there are no limits in life, so long term we have no Fundraising number but for this November we have a target and an aim. We would really appreciate your support as our family, friends and associates.
