Maz and I make a great team. She brilliantly organises fantastic cycle rides bringing together amazing teams of cyclists, supporters and fundraisers, and (with luck) I turn up at the right sort of place and mutely pedal. I say 'that sounds fun - hey, it's months away, I'm sure I'll be able to get fit by then', and she puts photos of my bottom online.
Friends - this is a great cause. Working with marginalised young people throughout the UK, Worth Unlimited shows them that they have unlimited worth. If you had a 16 year old - one who's had a tough start in life - beside you now, dealing with all the rubbish that 16 year olds have to deal with - and if a fiver could help them by giving them some skills and hope for employment, or put a mentor alongside them who they could trust, or find them a way of feeling confident in reading - - you would, wouldn't you?
(you're generous sorts, we know)
http://www.worthunlimited.co.uk/programmes.html has got a bit more.
Friends of Maz - she's an awesome cyclist but there's a big extra challenge here - me tagging along behind and asking for snacks. Please support her.
Friends of me - I know I cycle in London, but this ride has hills. And long stretches without any traffic lights at all. When am I meant to rest? In addition, Maz is not only a braver, faster, more competent cyclist than me, but a better fundraiser. Help!
Friends of both of us - use the comment slot by your donation to place your bets on which of us eats the most cream teas under the guise of 'carb loading'.
You know the drill: Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: The Worth Foundation Limited gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
Thank you so much for what you can give. It'll make a real difference to a young person somewhere in the UK who needs it.
