Hello! Welcome to our fundraising page for Great Lakes Outreach in Burundi!!!
Great Lakes Outreach is a charity that Jennifer has been following for ten years and to whom we are very excited to finally have a capacity to give.
"GLO is a network of passionate people of faith who are reaching out to meet the spiritual and physical needs of the last, the lost and the least in Burundi, Central Africa". There is a futher description of their work to the left and on their website www.greatlakesoutreach.org/.
We contacted Simon Guillbaud, who heads up GLO, to enquire as to their greatest needs and together we came up with a list of items that are desperately required:
Goat for a family $30 / £16
Cow for the Orphanage $300 / £165
Bibles $5 / £3 (each)
Pair of Shoes $10 / £6
Bicycle for a pastor $70 / £38
School Term Fees $25 / £14
Medical Clinic needs:
Bed $90/ £50
Mattress $130 / £70
Chair $25 / £15
Mirror $20/ £10
WC $350 / £200
Computer $1000 / £600
Office Furniture $180 / £100
We have tried to set our "Fund Raising Target" to zero but the system seems to have a mind of its own so we have put the target at a low number, otherwise it wants fifteen thousand pounds! Please know that your donations are entirely at your descretion. We have no set expectations. Anything we can give is more than what they have now and will be gratefully received.
